This place is always great. Unique for the area. We always order way too much, but bring it home for later.

Get the sweet and sour boneless ribs... You won't be sorry!

My official rating is 3.5 stars, but I'll err on the side of 4 because I do plan to go back again. Initial disclaimer: I'm not familiar with this type of dining experience.
The service was very friendly and attentive, maybe even overly so. The lady came to our table literally every five minutes asking if we wanted more water or hot tea (which seems were the only beverages). I rarely needed a refill, but I'd rather have the attentiveness than absence. I didn't much care for the flavor of the tea.
We chose the basic broth, with a few veggies and beef. The menu instructions and server's explanation of how to prepare the food was good, and it's definitely a new experience participating in the process. The ingredients were fresh, but overall the soup had little flavor.
I'd like to go back and make some different food choices based on my learnings, but I felt the overall price tag was a bit steep for a meal half prepared ourselves.

    Dear Hot Pot,

While you're only a delicious way to make restaurant patrons cook their own food to some, you're a beautiful reminder of some great food memories to us!

Back in 2005, my better half and I got stuck in Beijing after missing a train. We had hot pot that evening and there was just something about Pork and fish balls in a delicious broth that made things alright!

Fast forward to today and we had another such experience! We tried this place after hearing rave reviews and it didn't disappoint. Our group of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids) shared a ton of different things and we found all to be everything we'd hoped. They've only got booths, but they accommodated us nicely!

You choose a base soup of regular, spicy or vegetarian. You can go half/half off original and spicy which we did. Every a medium spicy had some good kick. Our soup a la family consisted of beef dumplings and pork/shrimp dumplings (all were awesome), the fish balls and pork balls were excellent, the handmade noodles were phenomenal and the quail eggs were a total hit! They kept our waters filled (as I had some legit soup sweats!) and were very pleasant!

The broth end up being roughly the same temperature as the sun, so go ahead and blow on it before it goes in your mouth.

The total came to about $60 per family and was well worth it! I can't tell you how excited we are to find a good hot pot place in the area - we'll be visiting again and often!

Nothing amazing. I ordered the wonton soup and the pan fried beef buns.

First, the wonton soup. They use a lot of pepper for the wontons, so get ready for that. I also didn't have a single wonton where the meat stayed intact inside. It was not a cool experience trying to get the meat and get some  wrapping all in one bite.

Then the pan fried buns. What's with the tiny size of those meat balls in comparison with the buns? It was so doughey and there was hardly any reward for getting through all that bun.

    Can't say I'll be back.

Was so delicious, service was great very pleasant staff cute art on the wall plenty of food for the price. Would definitely eat here again but we are from out of state. The leek sauce was 10 out of 10 was putting it on everything! The broth was mild but still almost to spicy to eat but there was so much regular broth it didn't matter.  Keep it up don't change a thing it's amazing no complaints.
